Written and directed by Anderson, One Battle After Another is based on the 1990 novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the film as Bob Ferguson, a former revolutionary who’s forced back in the game when his baby daughter is in danger. He has a little help from his revolutionary friends, thankfully. The One Battle After Another cast also includes Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Chase Infiniti, and Alana Haim.
Right now, One Battle After Another holds a 98 percent positive rating on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, indicating near-universal acclaim. Best picture, anyone?
